Power Button
Tips:
Before powering on, please toggle the three motor lock switches to unlock the axes.
• Power On/Off
Press and hold for 3s to power on iSteady MT2 (or power off).
• Enter Stand-By Mode
Press the power button twice quickly to put the gimbal into standby mode.
• Exit Stand-By Mode
Press the power button once to exit standby mode.
M Button
• Switch Between PF/PTF/L/POV
Press the M button to switch between the following working modes sequentially:
PF(Pan Follow) Mode,PTF(Pan and Tilt Follow) Mode,L(All Lock) Mode,and POV(Point of View) Mode.
• “ICP” Mode
Press the M button three times to enter "ICP" Inception mode.
Tips:
Press once the M button or press twice the trigger to stop the spin and recenter the gimbal.
• Enter or Exit the OLED Sub-Menu
Long-press the M button to enter or exit the OLED sub-menu.
Joystick
• Tilt Angle
Push the joystick up/down.
• Pan Angle
Push the joystick left/right.
Trigger
• Sport mode "S"
Press and Hold the Trigger.
• Recenter
Doule-press the trigger to recenter the gimbal.
• Reverse 180° pan
Press three times to make a 180° reverse panning rotation. Double tap and then hold to quick switch to All Lock Mode. After releasing the button, the gimbal will automatically return to its original working mode.
Zoom Lever & Shutter Button
Tips:
① The operation methods and functionalities may vary slightly depending on the brand and model of the camera.
1. Please check the camera compatibility list for detailed information on supported camera models. And make sure that the iSteady MT2 gimbal is successfully connected to the camera using the camera control cable.
2. For mobile phone, it's only available in the hohem Joy app or on the native camera app of certain standard protocol phones with Android 10.0 or later versions. Please ensure Bluetooth is connected.
② Let's use Sony A7R Ⅳ as an example.
• Zoom in/out
Lever up, zoom in. Lever down, zoom out.
• Auto Focus
Half-press the shutter button to make auto-focus.
• Shutter Control
Press and hold shutter button for 1s.
• Start/Stop Video
Press the shutter button.
Tips:
The following two features are only available in the hohem Joy app or on the native camera app of certain standard protocol phones with Android 10.0 or later versions. Please ensure Bluetooth is connected.
① Press twice: Photo/video switch
② Press three times: Front/rear camera switch
Multifunctional Control Wheel
• Focus Control
Rotate the wheel to adjust the sharpness and clarity of the image.
• Focus/Roll Control
Press twice the multifunctional control wheel to switch between Focus/Roll Control.
• Roll Control
Rotate the wheel to control the roll angle within a range of +/- 45 degrees.
• Turn On/Off Fill Light
Press and hold to turn on/off the fill light.
• CCT/RGB Fill Light
Press three times to switch between CCT/RGB fill light.
Tips:
The "ON/OFF" icon in the OLED screen's top left corner indicates whether the current mode is turned on or off.
• CCT Fill Light
In CCT mode, a single press of the multifunctional control wheel allows you to select and adjust brightness and color temperature.
• RGB Fill Light
In RGB mode, press once the control wheel to select between adjusting the color value ("°") or the brightness ("%"). When in the color value mode, rotate the control wheel to adjust the color. When in the brightness mode, rotate the control wheel to adjust the brightness level.
A-B Motion Button
To set the starting or ending points for a track, you can capture customized camera movements or create motion timelapse.
• To set an A position point
Move the axes to the starting position you desired via the Joystick. Long press A button, it indicates that the A position has been successfully set after a confirmation sound.
• To set a B position point
Move the axes to the ending position you desired via the Joystick. Long press B button, it indicates that the B position has been successfully set after a confirmation sound.
• Capture a trajectory shot from position A to position B
Press the A button once, iSteady MT2 will go back to A position quickly.
Then press the B button twice to initiate a smooth and uniform rotation along the track towards the B position.
• Capture a track from position B to position A
Press the B button once, iSteady MT2 will go back to B position quickly.
Then press the A button twice to initiate a smooth and uniform rotation along the trajectory towards the A position.
Tips:
The default duration for a uniform rotation track is 1 minute. You can adjust the duration in the hohem Joy app.
